Leica TCS SP8 Confocal Microscope
Laser scanning confocal microscope with spectral emission detection (Leica TCS SP8) on an inverted stand, fully motorized stage, fast z movement (Leica Super Z Galvo stage). Resonant scanner (8 Hz) for fast scan times and lower photo-toxicity or bleaching. The scanhead is equipped with two conventional photo multiplier tube and two highly sensitive HyD detectors. The entire microscope is controlled via the Leica LAS X software , which includes the Navigator module that is very intuitive and ideal for semi-automated image acquisition from large sample areas. The software also provides modules for spectral unmixing and ratiometric Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET). The system is also equipped with a stage top environment control chamber to maintain optimal conditions for live cell imaging (temperature, carbon dioxide concentration and air humidity).
Features:
- Leica DMi8 inverted and automated microscope with a motorized XY-stage
- SuperZ galvanometer stage (1500 um travel range in Z) for higher speed and accuracy
