Education: Research Technician at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, MSc. Cell and Molecular Biology
Role in MouseTRAP: Genotyping Technician
Description of Research Projects:
I am currently supporting student and postdoctoral research projects in the Rodent Cognition Research and Innovation Core (RoCRIC) through mouse husbandry. These projects study mouse models of human neurological abnormalities and how they affect neuronal development, behaviour, learning, and motor function. Many of these projects aim to further our understanding of and draw parallels between human diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Before working at RCC I conducted research in insects studying the relationship between gene expression of multi-drug resistance transporters and insecticide tolerance in different insect species.
